The Gulliver Jam Story...
Gulliver Jam is an Australian jewellery and accessories brand founded by Melbourne Designer Clare Voitin. The seed of an idea for Gulliver Jam was planted in 2001 when Clare moved to Dubai with her husband, and discovered a city full of life and colour. A few short years later Clare was inspired to create jewellery and a brand that reflected this experience and energy, with the name hinting at the wonder of faraway travels. Gulliver Jam’s eclectic style has developed over time, and inspiration can be found during travels sourcing new materials and techniques, or closer to home in the natural and beautiful forms found in nature.
The jewellery features seasonal colours, with a focus on the stunning semi-precious stones that are sourced to produce jewellery that is modern and unique, yet also achieves a sense of timelessness in its beauty. Once the designs are completed at Gulliver Jam’s headquarters in Melbourne, Gulliver Jam then works closely with artisans overseas, where each piece is handcrafted to the highest quality.
The range of Handbags Gulliver Jam produces have developed so that the designs are not driven by seasonal trends, rather the emphasis is on finding design details to make each handbag unique, while at the same time achieving a timeless appeal.
The Scarf collection now includes designs that are exclusive to Gulliver Jam, and are ethically made. Many of the scarves are entirely handcrafted using traditional techniques that are centuries old, or may be embellished using rare machinery that require years of skill and knowledge. These scarves are all made to the highest quality by incredible artisans in India.
